BC州政府は下記２１種類の軽度の一般的な症状であれば薬剤師が対応します。（２０２４年７月現在）

これによって医師や病院の患者対応を軽減することができます。また薬剤師は下記についても対応することができます。
- Free Contraceptives (birth control): 無料の避妊薬や避妊器具
- Vaccines and medical injections: ワクチンと医療用注射
- Prescription renewals and emergency refills: 処方箋の更新と緊急補充

州政府の健康保険加入者が対象です。現在（2024年7月）のところビジター保険や留学生保険などの旅行保険では薬剤師の診察・処方による治療費は補償されておりません。
